Week 4 Predictions

We reach the half way mark, Wildcards are flying, bussy is getting smashed and Gray continues at the bottom of the pack. Let's see if I think he can get out of it this week.
Alex V Tom S
Prediction: Alex
Alex has already started his moaning about the mission but I shall not be tricked again! Tom is effectively bringing four choppy bricks, which is pretty bad news for Alex however those Windriders can do horrific things to each of those bricks. Legionaries can tussle with the road bumps that are Striking Scorpions but I feel like it will be dictated by the tricksy elves.
It is a whole lot of stuff running across the board and, while tempted to back Tom, I think Alex might have the tricks to avoid them long enough to bleed them good. Getting the +2" movement may make or break the matchup here but I don't want to doubt Alex and give him more fire in his belly. I will do that by smashing him tomorrow night instead.

Jack V Mike
Prediction: Mike
Another Bile Brother to bring some pain, but with a measly three bricks of nasty this time. There is some Nemesis Claws in there for denying strat usage but I think they will be more relevant in a melee mirror.
While I do think Jack wins the early trades of various Destroyers in Legionaries I am not completely sold on the ability of 2 DDA and TSK being able to manage killing 30 angry dudes, even when they are drawn out. Although there is the Enmitic blob as well so it possible. When Mike decides to send, if he goes hard, it might just overwhelm the silly robot boys.
The lack of real shooting power, even with two Huntsmen, does mean it is possible the Destroyer blobs can road block the big scary units long enough to take primary but it will be a close run thing.

Max V Sean
Prediction: Sean
I would like to preface this by saying that I genuinely like Max's list, within the relevant context of Imperial Agents. By that I mean I don't think it is utter poo. I think it can do work into a lot of armies but I am concerned about the durability of the Wraith Brick and C'tan. Perhaps the Deathwatch can get the job done here but I don't know for sure. My heart says Max but my head says Sean. God speed and imagine what you could do with a real army.
Also Necrons are a bastard for AI art so they are banned next league.

Sam V Chris
Prediction: Sam
Always gonna back myself against this smoothbrain ain't I? Honestly though as Chris has his free Wildcard from the codex and hasn't used any others I wouldn't put it past his rascal brain to tailor his list to murder me and then just change it back to a normal one. However that would be my fault for changing to an absurd skew list - game recognise game.
If he runs Bridgehead I will smash his back doors in. I genuinely believe that just before the Grotmas detachments were released Chris was abducted and his neurons were mapped such that he could never make that detachment work.

Ross V Angus
Prediction: Ross
It's going to be a brutal affair. I will bring the anti-inflammatories.

Craig V Mark
Prediction: Craig
I think this mission benefits being able to chill with durable units and that is the DG modus operandi.
If Mark can keep his Land Raider and BGV in the game a little longer this week it will be a tougher game for the DG. It will come down to being able to bring the Aggressors and BGV to bear in a really efficient way. Probably just ignore Morty and try and murder all the rest of Craigs stuff would be my plan. Or just advance and charge everything T1 and make Craig deal with it while you score primary.

Kyle V Dan
Prediction: Dan
Since Kyle failed to burn through Max's horde of idiots I am not wholly convinced he can do it to Dan's hyper efficient, math-hammered army.
Again I think the mission favours DG being able to absorb a decent amount of fire while farming primary. It will be up to Kyle to systematically move through the DG rather than spread himself to thin. And it will be up to Dan to spread Kyle out....

Neil V Freddie
Prediction: Freddie
I know I know, Freddie winning on a Tuesday is a concept as alien to me as anyone else but I think it is possible here. Neil is fairly fresh to 10th and is running an army with limited pieces to get work done whereas Freddie has a bunch.
Can Freddie lift the curse or will his HHelo rating continue to tank? Can't really get worse than bottom I guess.

Ben V Gray
Prediction: Gray
Since Gary only turned up for one game so far I am hoping Gray will actually make this one. If he does I think Gray is a better player than Gary anyway.
I think the OC will be an issue for Ben here as there is just so much on the CK side that the World Eaters are gonna have to get choppy and fast. Which, in fairness, they are pretty good at doing. Gray is just a sly player, until he isn't, so think he can get the win here.
