Wildcards played, couple of draws and one smashing - let's dig in!
First the boring bits - Dave bailed last minute so will be given the Turkey hat to wear next appearance and Alex was awarded victory. Andy and Ross couldn't find a date they could both do so were awarded a draw.
A reminder that this mission was all about Purging, so while we spent a lot of time vomming in the toilets we also got a spot of murdering in.
I will do next week's predictions tomorrow.
Gary V Sam - 7-13
It was never really in doubt - Gary arrived drunk and complaining that the clouds were out to get him so he wasn't really on the ball. DWK did their thing and weathered lots of Orky pew/chop while I cleared up other pieces. I fucked up using a Vindicator by deciding to try and out shoot a gun with longer range and Gary fucked up by leaving his Squighog Boyz in range of a T1 charge.
Considering the strength of my list versus Gary's he did well (or I did badly not sure) to come away with 7 points here. Cunt.
Craig V Max - 6-14
Max's big Allarus brick inspired me to try it recently. However turns out deploying slow moving guys too far back and forgetting they had uppy downy is not a great use of 500 points. Max on the other hand used them with aplomb and got the job done against the stinky green boys.
I don't think there were many of the 10,000 left on the board by the end but the mission was achieved and victory assured.
Leo V Ben - 10-10
A sexy little draw here between the two World Eater players. Starting with a suspiciously cagey affair for a couple of turns that we all knew couldn't last. They eventually crashed into each other and Khorne was well pleased.
Probably quite a tough mirror in Purge to come out on top of as both armies need to be up close and personal to score primary, with each player just trading unit into unit into unit until not much is left.
Jack V Dave - 19-1
Dave - what happened here mate? You lost to the second, less successful, Chris clone!
Jack has a typically mobile Aeldari army that I suspect the Tau couldn't get eyes on when they needed to. Breachers go down hard to units like Warp Spiders and that leaves the bigger hulls that Jack can generally dance away from until he wants to engage.
Looking for a come back next week from Dave as he re asserts dominance of the fish heads.
