Mission – Dawn of War//Scorched Earth//Hidden Supplies

This is the one where you burn the objectives for more primary at the end, extra bonus for burning opposition deployment. In addition the mission rule adds an additional objective marker in NML.

This will probably force players to leave more than the normal 50 points of shit at their backline, if the opponent has any deepstrike and more primary objectives means more to burn. I love fire.

On to the main event – who is bumming who this week?

Rob V Gary – Admech Vs CK

My initial impression is that this is a fucking horrible matchup for Admech, without a shit load of breachers. I don’t think it can hit the stat check for Wardog spam even with a decent spinkling of lethal hits. Breachers can kill a Dog each turn sure but even if they take down the Lancer early doors I think there will just be way too much OC to take down.

Sorry to Rob here but I think this will be an early night and a bloodbath – I hope I am wrong and someone can stop the heretics! The only out here is if the Warglaives see their traitor cousins, get their game face on and perform HARD.

Prediction – 100-30 to Gary.

Ben V Chris – GK Vs Guard

This Company of Guard must have committed the minor crime of cavorting with Daemons as the Grey Knights are on their way to more than wipe their minds.

I am honestly not sure how or if Ben can actually kill anything of Chris’ but that isn’t what this game is about and GK can score, that is for certain. Scorched Earth has weird jank that allows you to pick and objective (that you don’t have to be on) and if you are somehow there by your next command phase then you burn it. Sounds like the sort of thing GK can do with access to Sigil.

Chris’ list is also the sort that can actually murder a Voldus buffed, AoC’d 10 Paladin brick and it is quite hard to hide so a lot might come down to that.

If Ben can nip around burning objectives t2/3 to keep primary score really low and then win on secondary it is winnable. Chris could also potentially just murder everything and not give a fuck about scoring until there are just a lot of silvery red puddles on the ground.

Prediction – Due to the additional primary objective I think Chris will win. If it was just the 3 I would bet on Ben.

Chris victory 70-50.

Leo Vs Sam – CSM V Custodes

Triple Forgefiend can do very very bad things to my bananas but save for Bile in his Noise Marines I am pretty sure anything I touch, in melee, dies.

Leo also has a lot more mobility than me which, when paired with a limited ability to screen, means he has a distinct advantage in the secondary game. I will likely be forced to leave my Allarus at home to protect it from burning which is a tool out of my box for murdering Forgefiends. At least with Golden Light they have some play to get back in the game later.

I am also terrible at playing Scorched Earth, very rarely making good decisions about when to burn objectives and when to keep scoring them. I feel like burning two in NML (I know I only get VP for one) and then just piling all my boys into the last one could work though.

Prediction – A bounceback victory for me 80-40.

Harry V Tony – Tsons Vs Necrons

Honestly I think the off meta list of Tony’s does serious work into the Tsons. Hyper mobile volume of shots killed Rubricae at what I imagine will be a saddening rate for Harry.

If Harry’s Forgefiend picks off the Nightscythe early it might be game on. A monolith getting Doombolted to shit is also very much on the table, which sounds satisfying. But in Hypercrypt having 20 Immortals and 20 Warriors plopping around murdering Tsons I think it will be really hard to keep up.

Prediction – Tony win 90-40.
