Casual Week Four Pre Match Commentary

Good morning you beautiful people, and Gary. Due to the casual lads being scared of structure and timetables we only have a couple of games being played tonight. This means more badly generated AI art and ramblings from me!

Andy V Phil – Dawn of War/Supply Drop/Vox Static

Is the Keeper of Secrets out to show the Sons of Guilliman what pleasure feels like? Could this be the first gamer on gamer love affair for Legion? Probably not but I like to ask the difficult questions.

Phil has recently had practice shooting the face off a Smurf army so his eye is already in. Andy loves a Dreadnaught or five and I don’t know if Forgefiends can crack enough of them.

Supply Drop favours the second turn player significantly, as well as whoever can survive with materiel to play for that final turn. CSM generally struggle with durable OC whereas SM don’t so if Andy can play a little cagey could his Tactical Squad come out the heroes they deserve to be?

I think this is a fairly even matchup but Phil is chasing the top spot and sometimes Andy forgets to hide key pieces (Sky Rays?) so I am going betray my “special” relationship with him and plump for a 80-50 victory for Phil.

Luke V Ben – Sites of Power/Vox Static

Top Dog himself brings the guns of doom to bear on the lads from Macragge. A flawless run from Mr Honey so far makes it hard to see past him. Both players have plenty of characters to score primary but I don’t know if the Marines can stay alive long enough to score them.

It isn’t like Ben doesn’t have guns of his own though! I have spied the Executioner out a few times and that is always a capable killing machine. The height of the angry little man does make it hard to draw a bead though…

We are all rooting for you Ben, someone needs to remind Luke he is human after all but I am going to predict another 100 for the chonky armed gunman.

Also I asked for space dwarves fighting Ultramarines and it just ignored the Votann, like the rest of us.
